Ceramic Protection Corp Reports New Ceramic Plate Order
Ceramic Protection Corporation (Sunrise, FL, USA) has reported a new order for ceramic plates to be produced at the corporation’s manufacturing facility in Newark, Delaware. The new order, received from an integrated manufacturer, involves a minimum of 4,000 ceramic plates each month and is effective immediately. The order, made through to 31 December 2008, is contingent upon ongoing lot test performance.
CPC also reported on actions already in process to reduce costs throughout the organisation. As the company continues to strive for increased profitability, it is initiating efforts to improve its margins through a comprehensive evaluation of manufacturing operations and administrative processes. It is also consolidating certain communications and information technology functions at its headquarters facility, thereby reducing costs and streamlining these functions throughout CPC.
CPC also has a site in Granite Falls, North Carolina and is engaged in the design, manufacture and marketing of advanced products used to provide ballistic protection for personnel and vehicles in the military and law enforcement markets.The product portfolio includes lightweight ceramic armour for vehicles and military personnel, composite based products and concealable soft body armour products for law enforcement and the Modular Tactical Vest (MTV) ballistic system for military personnel.
