MRS Announces COS Workshop

MRS - The Materials Research Society (Warrendale, PA, USA) has announced that it will stage a two-day workshop, entitled 'Dielectric Science and New Functionality in Device Physics for Crystalline Oxides on Semiconductors (COS)', in Chattanooga, Tennessee from 11-12 September 2001.

Crystalline oxides grown commensurately to a semiconductor are emerging as a new physical system for MOS-based device physics. This workshop will focus discussion on new opportunities and functionality in semiconductor device physics using crystalline oxides on semiconductors.

MRS is a not-for-profit scientific association founded in 1973 to promote interdisciplinary goal-oriented research on materials of technological importance. Membership of the society consists of more than 12,500 scientists from industry, government, academia and research laboratories in the USA and nearly 50 other countries.
