Ceramic Contemporaries 4

Aberystwyth Arts Centre (Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Wales) is shortly to stage its Ceramic Contemporaries 4 - an exhibition selected from an open entry among recently (five years) graduated artists/ceramicists chosen by Edmund de Waal, Tanya Harrod, Andrew Lord and Keely Traae.

The Centre says the exhibition promises to be a fascinating look at new ideas in the art of clay, with work ranging from the political to sculptural to domestic. Previous Ceramic Contemporaries have launched the careers of ceramicists now well known and the Centre says this exhibition will be no exception.

The exhibition, which runs from 7 June to 19 July 2003, will coincide with the 9th International Ceramics Festival. Presented by the North and South Wales Potters and Aberystwyth Arts Centre, the festival is an exciting opportunity to join some of the world's leading potters and ceramic artists.

It is a well established international event which offers teachers, students, ceramic artists, collectors, working potters and amateurs alike the chance to meet and study the work of distinguished, internationally known artists from countries world-wide.
