Annual Event for Brickmakers and Suppliers

The theme of the 2001 International Brick Plant Operator's Forum - to be held from 1-3 October 2001 in Clemson, SC, USA - has been announced as 'Dehacking/Unloading - State of the Art'.

The event, which has become an established information forum in the annual calendar for brickmakers, as well as being informal and social, is aimed at plant managers, production officers, equipment suppliers and persons interested in international networking.

The purpose of the programme is to provide information on the latest international developments in the processing of heavy clay products to operating personnel and senior management attendees. Brick and tile industry personnel usually present technical papers. The goal of the forum, say the organisers, is for every attendee to return to their place of business having learned new techniques to produce better products with greater efficiency.

In addition to personnel representing a wide range of USA based heavy clay product makers, recent events have attracted brickmakers and equipment suppliers from leading countries in the field such as: Australia (JC Smale, WE Hankins, Selkirk Brick, Phillips Bricks & Pavers, CSR PGH, Claypave, Austral); Canada (Shaw Brick, Bradken, Brampton Brick, Briqueterie St-Laurent, Century Brick, I-XL Industries, Canada Brick, Paisley Brick & Tile); the UK (Hanson Brick, Marshalls Clay Products, Castle Colours, Multi-Spray & Pneumatics, Baggeridge Brick, Hughes Technical Services, Hallamshire Engineering); Germany (Burton, Haendle) and South Africa (Allbrick Manufacturing, Corobrick, Easton Brick & Tile) - as well as leading representatives from Spain, Holland, Mexico, Norway and Panama.
