CISA Chooses Progetti

Fanaloza SA, a wholly owned company of the Chilean group CISA (Cerámicas Industriales SA) has chosen Progetti Srl (Altavilla Vicentina, VI, Italy), for the realisation of the new sanitaryware plant in the city of Penco in the south of Chile.

The supplied equipment includes the dryers for sanitaryware and for plaster moulds (operated by overheated water and therefore not requiring burners and chimney), the thermal plant of the system, the casting halls treatment, the slip heating for the traditional casting and for high pressure casting shop.

The system is conceived as a fully integrated one, managed with software that allows internet connection and therefore remote technical assistance and the functionality verification of the system on-line from Progetti headquarters.

Furthermore, it is expected that in future it will be possible to install energy recovery systems from the tunnel kiln, and therefore enable installation of the boiler with the heat recovery with an effective reduction in the consumption of the system.

Progetti reports that the energy recovery has a payback period of under two years.

CISA is a Chilean company, headquartered in Santiago, Chile with manufacturing facilities in Chile, Ecuador, Venezuela and the United States. CISA is one of the leading manufacturers of vitreous china sanitaryware in the world.
