ArmorWorks Bags $5.2 Million Contract

ArmorWorks Enterprises LLC (Chandler, AZ, USA), a leading provider of advanced survivability products, has announced the receipt of a contract from The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) for Enhanced Side Ballistic Inserts (ESBI) for the U.S. Air Force. These advanced ballistic inserts protect the side of the torso with state-of-the-art ceramic and composite armour technology. This contract will be fulfilled by July 2007.

ArmorWorks' ESBI provides the same advanced armour protection as the company 's proven Small Arms Protective Inserts (SAPI) and Enhanced Small Arms Protective Inserts (ESAPI) all of which are used in the U.S. Military's Interceptor body armour system.

“We are a provider of choice for the U.S. Department of Defense to supply our troops with the best available protective armor,” stated Bill Perciballi, CEO and President of ArmorWorks. “We are proud that the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Navy have all selected ArmorWorks to be a primary supplier of side armor protection.”

As previously announced, the U.S. Marine Corps awarded ArmorWorks a $5.6 million contract for S-SAPI in March 2007. The U.S. Army also awarded the company a $543 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for ESBI in 2006.
