Zircotec Completes Management Buy-Out

Managers from Zircotec (Didcot, Oxon, England) have completed a management buy-out of the high technology heat management and surface engineering specialists. The organisation provides a range of thermal barrier and wear resistant coatings to some of the world’s most prestigious car manufacturers as well as Formula One teams and a growing range of companies in other sectors.

“We are delighted to have completed the buy-out,” said Managing Director Terry Graham. “Zircotec is a thriving business that has experienced some strong growth over recent years, and the management team are focused and motivated to continue this success. The buy-out brings new financial investment and the potential for further rapid growth, taking the company through to the next stage of its development.

“Zircotec has rapidly expanded its portfolio of products and ceramic coatings to offer new solutions in a range of applications, right from performance upgrades for road cars through to aerospace. This development programme is set to continue and we look forward to announcing new products and applications later this year.”

The buy-out has been led by Mr Graham, supported by Technical Director Andy McCabe, Sales & Marketing Manager Peter Whyman and Accountant Chris Barette. The whole of the production team are transferring to the new company along with Motorsport Sales Manager Stuart Clarke and Production Manager Alec Samler.

The new company, Zircotec Ltd, will continue to trade as Zircotec. Zircotec’s production facilities are currently located on the Harwell Site in Oxfordshire, though Zircotec is seeking to expand by taking on new premises and additional plant and equipment later in 2009.

“A budget is already in place to cover this next phase of our expansion,” added Terry Graham.
