KEMET Broadens Ceramic X5R Portfolio

KEMET Corporation (Greenville, SC, USA) announced on 11 March 2005 the addition of several new high capacitance offerings to its commercial X5R ceramic surface mount portfolio.

New releases offer capacitance ranges from 2.7 microfarads to 4.7 microfarads in the 0603 EIA case size at a rated voltage of 6.3V. Components provide circuit functions such as decoupling and output filtering to the computer, power supply, broadband network and infotainment market segments.

Newest capacitance values are available in the X5R dielectric and in K (10%) and M (20%) tolerances. KEMET adds that all parts are environmentally friendly and in compliance with RoHS legislation.
