Trelleborg Engineered Systems Appoints President


Peter Nilsson has been appointed new President of the Trelleborg Engineered Systems business area, provisionally effective as of 1 June 2003. He will be a member of the Trelleborg Group Management.

Peter Nilsson has extensive international experience of both production and marketing in an industrial environment. He has worked for Trelleborg in various senior positions since 1995, with management responsibility for operations in Europe, the USA and Asia. At the moment, he is head of the Trelleborg Engineered Systems' Engineered Products business unit, which is headquartered in Singapore and has annual sales corresponding to approximately SEK 1.2 billion.

In 2002, the Trelleborg Engineered Systems business area posted net sales of slightly more than SEK 3.3 billion, with around 2,800 employees.

The business has production units in Sweden, Norway, the UK, Germany, Holland, France, Spain, the USA, Canada, Singapore and Australia, as well as a full-coverage distribution organisation for industrial suppliers in Europe and North America.

Georg Brunstam, current President of this business area, is leaving Trelleborg to become President and CEO of Swedish plastic components company, Nolato AB.
