Tecnargilla 2008 Confirms Comprehensive Range of Offerings

Tecnargilla will be held in just over six months’ time from 30 September to 4 October in Rimini, Italy. Ceramic manufacturers are eagerly looking forward to the 2008 edition of the Italian show, while the numerous exhibitor companies are completing development of the technological innovations they plan to unveil. The Rimini exhibition centre is preparing to host the biennial show which offers industry professionals a showcase of technology and a preview of the ceramics of the future.

Tecnargilla brings together machinery and plants for the production of ceramic tiles, sanitaryware, and heavy clay, glazes and colours, design and aesthetic solutions for ceramics of the future, raw materials and services.

Alongside the now well-established theme sections Kromatech (aesthetics in the ceramic sector) and Claytech (heavy clay technology), the advanced ceramic section Kermat will also be back for the second time. Alongside the conferences, which proved very popular with visitors at the first edition, Kermat will again have a dedicated exhibition space. The themes that will be addressed on 1 and 2 October have already been chosen. To begin, the “International forum – The new frontiers of ceramic materials” will explore the roadmap for the ceramics of the future: strategies and prospects for companies; ceramic technologies for alternative energy and protection of the environment; sustainable building.

There will also be a conference entitled “Innovative applications of ceramic materials” which will explore themes such as European priorities for tile innovation; high value-added functional materials; nanostructured coatings; reducing machinery vibrations and noise by means of piezoelectric technology devices; geopolymers and so on.
