Solid Modelling Exhibition

The Solid Modelling Show, which is set to take place at The Pavilion, NEC, Birmingham, England on 31 March and 1 April 2004, has become a full-on engineering and manufacturing technology event with top modelling solutions now shown alongside complementary applications.

Rapid prototyping, a fast growing feature of the show, is allowing modelling users a speedy and cost effective progress to physical prototypes; also the creation of 'end user components' through the adoption of Direct Manufacturing. This route cuts out reliance on traditional methods of production or restriction by 'Design for Manufacture'.

Another key strength in any design or manufacturing organisation is the ability not only to manage design and engineering data but also to ensure that it is available to those that need it throughout the enterprise. At Solid Modelling 2004 visitors will be able to see and discuss the leading management solutions that help control all or part of the product development and in-service lifecycle.

Following the fire at the National Motorcycle Museum, the show has moved to the nearby NEC. The seminar auditorium is now directly alongside the large single exhibition floor with free entry to talks. This year's programme will include 'classes' and 'hot topics' sessions hosted by the RPMA, MCAD Magazine and Prototype Magazine.
