Terry Watts is New CEO of Proskills
Proskills, the Sector Skills Council (SSC) for the process manufacturing industries, announced on 16 March 2005 that Terry Watts will become its CEO with effect from April 2005. As the SSC for Process Manufacturing, Proskills unites employers, educators and government on a common, employer-led agenda for skills improvement and the resulting productivity increase in the UK.
Terry Watts, formerly COO of the well established e-skills UK Ltd, said: "I believe firmly that the opportunities offered by Proskills to employers in these sectors will benefit their businesses and the UK economy. We will make Proskills an organisation that will be the engine for change, and I am very pleased to be joining at this critical time in its development".
Stephen Falder, Chairman of Proskills, added: "We are delighted that Terry is to take on the role of CEO and I know Proskills will benefit enormously from his contribution. His experience gained with e-skills UK will help us build Proskills effectively as we press on with our agenda to transform the skills for Process Manufacturing".
