3,000 Pieces Per Day Firing Possible at Parryware's Dewas Plant

E.I.D. Parry (India) Ltd has decided on a Sacmi STK 300/91.14 tunnel kiln for its Dewas plant, one of three sanitaryware plants it operates in India. Capable of firing 3,000 pieces a day on a 12-hour cycle, this is said to be the first such kiln in India to be fitted with the very latest temperature control systems.

The burners are of the high speed open flame type and the electrical system features a PC that monitors and controls every single cycle parameter; manual control can also be used. Uniformity of temperature and parameter control across all kiln zones allow - slip and glaze raw materials remaining equal - the user to produce a sanitaryware item of exceptional brilliance with a very low percentage of breakages compared to products fired inside traditional brickwork tunnel kilns.
