Ceramic Materials Used in 'No-Valve' Pump Technology

Fluid Metering Inc (Syosset, NY, USA) has launched its valveless piston CeramPump technology with flows from microlitres to 4 litres per minute, positive displacement up to 100psig, self priming to 15 feet and just one moving part - the ceramic piston.

The valveless pumping function is accomplished by the synchronous rotation and reciprocation of the ceramic piston in the precisely mated ceramic cylinder liner.

One complete piston revolution is required for each suction/discharge cycle.

Moving the pump head position changes the stroke length and in turn the flow rate. A flow rate indicator provides for simple and accurate flow rate adjustment. The system allows for infinite fine flow adjustments between 0-100% flow rate. Flow rate can be changed while the pump is operating or is at rest.
