New Tile Plant in USA

Steuben Tile has begun to manufacture art tile, decorative tile and custom tile from its 45,000 square foot facility in Hornell, NY, USA. The company also partners with other small tile manufacturers located in Europe, South America and Mexico to bring to the market a collection of floor, bathroom, kitchen, pool, mural and backsplash tiles.

The Steuben decorative tiles are principally used as floor tile, wall tile and pool tile using both hand painted tile and manufactured tile. The company said that because of its location in upstate New York, it is able to deliver product throughout the USA quickly and easily from its multiple warehouses.

The company added that it was using the most modern Italian technology of firing, colour matching and versatile clay forming, enabling it to match field tile manufactured in the Hornell factory with hand painted tiles produced abroad. The result is decorative tile in the styles of Limoges, Delft, Mexico, Italy and England. Art tiles, hand painted on a white clay body, are being made in the USA to ASTM standards. The Hornell plant is understood to have a production capacity of some 150,000 square feet per month.
