Neptune Secures Major Deal With British Company at Indian Ceramics Show

On the opening day of Indian Ceramics 2009 in Gujarat, the leading supplier to the industry Neptune Industries Ltd (Mehsana, India) announced that it had entered into a technology licence agreement with one of the world leaders in high pressure casting systems for sanitaryware, PCL Ceramics Ltd (Kings Lynn, England). Under the exclusive licence, Neptune will manufacture pressure casting systems and microporous resin moulds for the production of a wide range of two-part sanitaryware products in India for sale to the local market.

Neptune will also be providing a full range of services and support to its customers as part of the newly announced agreement.

For Neptune, the addition of manufacturing capability for pressure casting systems integrates into its existing strengths in the ceramic sector where the company is considered as a technology partner for the Indian ceramic industry, established as it is as a manufacturer of complete plants and machinery for both sanitaryware and technical ceramics.

Sanitaryware high pressure casting technology is a time tested global method of production adopted by many ceramic manufacturers worldwide. The system uses synthetic mould materials and specially manufactured pressure casting equipment which provides superior quality of cast pieces, improved overall yields and also decreases the dependency on skilled manpower.

PCL Ceramics Ltd (formerly Porvair Ceramics Ltd), established in 1991 and part of KL Technologies Ltd, is a market leader in developing synthetic mould materials and casting systems to replace plaster in the production of sanitaryware, tableware and technical ceramics worldwide. Many world leading ceramic manufacturers are successfully operating PCL equipment and moulds and depend on these casting systems for a large percentage of their production requirements.

PCL’s Managing Director, Mark Butler, said: “We are delighted to be associated with Neptune Industries in India and we believe that with the PCL equipment and mould technology, Neptune’s manufacturing skills and local market knowledge this will turn out to be a winning team”.

Neptune Industries is one of the globally recognised Indian engineering and manufacturing companies providing engineering solutions to many industries such as ceramic, building material & construction, agrotech and solar.

Neptune Industries was founded in 1991 and over the last five years has witnessed a growth of 80%. Now Neptune has become a $10 million turnover company and has been recognised by D&B as one of the fastest growing engineering enterprises in India.
