Millennium Chemicals Launches Online Ordering Service

Millennium Chemicals (Red Bank, NJ and Hunt Valley, MD, USA) has launched an online transaction website, 'Millennium Direct', for its titanium dioxide customers.

This will provide customers with a secure environment to place orders with immediate delivery confirmation, the ability to check and change orders via a flexible search wizard, access account status and invoice details, and obtain Certificates of Analysis and copies of invoices. Railcar tracking access is also available. Links to the company's public website - www.millenniumchem.com - provide access to MSDS and product data sheets. Integration to Millennium's back-end SAP R/3 system is extensive, providing customers with complete information, whether the orders were received by 'phone, fax or by 'Millennium Direct'.

The new website is initially targetted for use by North American customers in the titanium dioxide business, with enhancements expected in the future.

Millennium Chemicals is the second largest producers of titanium dioxide in the world and a leading producer of titanium tetrachloride as well as of zirconia, cadmium/selenium pigments and silica gel.
