Kohler takes bold approach to traditional materials with Ceramic Taps

Kohler Co, the major USA-based sanitaryware manufacturer, continues its 127-year tradition of driving design innovation with what it calls "revolutionary and bold" ceramic taps. The Vas(tm) Faucet has a pitcher-like vitreous china spout and a solid brass handle that resembles a flower stem. Another design, the Bol(tm) Faucet, was inspired by an antique apothecary mortar and pestle and offers a purely classic look. The water's flow takes centre stage as it fills the open body of the ceramic bowl and gently cascades out of the spout.

"Ceramic faucets provide consumers with a new and exciting way to decorate and deliver water in their bathrooms", said Keith Kometer, senior product manager for North America Faucets. "The pottery cradles and showcases the beauty of the water for added distinction".

Founded in 1873 and headquartered in Kohler, Wisconsin, Kohler Co. is a world leader in products for the kitchen and bathroom and is one of the oldest and largest privately held companies in the USA. It markets its products under the brand names of Kohler, Sterling, Kallista, Ann Sacks, Robern, Canac and, in Europe, under the brand names of Jacob Delafon, Neomediam and Sanijura.
