High Temperature Furnaces Reach 1800°C

The UAF17 and UAF18 series of high temperature chamber furnaces from Lenton (Hope Valley, nr Sheffield, England) provide advanced heating performance at temperatures up to 1800°C. They are designed for laboratory and light production work.

Ultra high purity alumina insulation and vertically suspended Kanthal Super heating elements, which radiate heat directly on to the workpiece, provide rapid heating and cooling, as well as low running costs, says Lenton. An eight or 16-segment programmer is fitted as standard.

Advanced chamber construction includes a modular roof system and removable hearth. Double-skin case construction uses natural air convection to maintain a cool outer case. Electrically operated doors minimise impact damage and keep the hot face away from operators. A door switch isolates power to the elements when the door is opened.

The UAF17 is available in three sizes and the UAF18 in four sizes.
