Gel Casting Used for New Technical Ceramic Range
Hi-Por Ceramics Ltd (Dronfield, Sheffield, England) has announced the launch of a new product, zinc oxide kiln furniture. These items are now being produced using the company's newly patented gel casting technology.
Zinc oxide kiln furniture is widely used in the electronic industry for the firing of zinc oxide based electronic components found in devices such as mobile phones and computers.
Hi-Por Ceramics has developed three series of zinc oxide based kiln furniture recently for electronic varistor firing. These are:Thin substrate slabs with extremely low thermal mass. Standard substrate series. Shelving support.
