Fosbel Ceramic Technologies Enters Agreement With PLS Logistics
Fosbel Inc, headquartered in Brook Park, OH, USA, has entered into a multi-year Agreement with PLS Logistics Services (Rochester, PA, USA) to manage all of the company's freight activity, including inbound, domestic, international (USA-origin) and LTL.
Fosbel Ceramic Technologies is a world leader in furnace refractory maintenance services. Fosbel provides excellent customer service through the prompt and reliable delivery of experienced manpower, equipment and materials around the globe to facilitate ‘hot’ furnace repairs. PLS was selected to manage Fosbel's freight movements after demonstrating proven business processes which support this service model, while driving value to Fosbel's bottom line.
PLS has a manager on site in Brook Park, OH to maximise the service and savings delivery to Fosbel.
Fosbel Vice President of Global Services, Simon Ellett, said: "PLS was chosen due to the breadth of their network, their added value to Fosbel's bottom line and after proving themselves in a three month trial. While the current contract is concentrated on US domestic inbound and outbound freight, the longer term plan is to use PLS for all Fosbel freight around the globe".
