Refractories in Steel Making
In conjunction with VDEh (Duesseldorf, Germany), RWTH (Aachen, Germany) and DIFK (Bonn, Germany), the Forschungsgemeinschaft Feuerfest eV (Bonn, Germany) has announced that the 44th International Colloquium on Refractories will take place at Eurogress, Aachen, Germany from 26-27 September 2001.
The theme this year is 'Refractories in Steel Making - Raw Materials, Systems and Applications' and the topic areas to be covered are as follows:
Converter and Electric Arc Furnace Ladle, Tundish, Continuous Casting Heating Furnace Raw Materials Shaped and Unshaped Refractories Processing and Refractory Full Lining Service Metal-Slag-Refractory Reactions Wear Reducing Measures Quality Management Recycling
A call for papers has been issued. Papers can be submitted for a 20-minute presentation. An abstract of (minimum) one page with the title of the paper (in German and English), names, addresses, fax number and e-mail address of the authors must be submitted. You need to specify the presenting author and the language to be used. Papers which have already been published or orally presented elsewhere are not acceptable.
The deadline for abstracts is 12 March 2001. Authors will be notified in May 2001.
A limited amount of space is available for exhibitors. Interested companies and institutions are urged to make contact.
