EU Approval for VAW Acquisition
The European Commission has decided not to oppose Norsk Hydro's acquisition of the German aluminium company VAW Aluminium AG and has declared it compatible with the common market and EEA Agreement.Consequently, Norsk Hydro expects to be able to close the deal, as previously indicated by the company, during March 2002.
