DECO 2006 Trade Show & Conference


DECO 2006 takes place from 26-28 March 2006 at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, USA. The annual event organised by the Society of Glass & Ceramic Decorators (SGCD) sees its members gathering for the seminar and exhibition to meet buyers. Major industry decorators including Lenox, Pfaltzgraff, Libbey, Vitro, Moderne Glass, Custom Deco, The Allen Company are currently expected to attend, in addition to many more.

Deco 2006 attendees will include those manufacturing and decorating dinnerware, glassware, beverage containers, cosmetic containers, tile, giftware and promotional products. Buyers will be looking for:

UV Inks and Equipment

The Society of Glass and Ceramic Decorators is a 45 year-old international organisation dedicated to the growth of glass and ceramic decorating world-wide. Eighty percent of the Society's members are located in the United States. The remainder are from many countries including Canada, Mexico, the UK, Germany, France and Asian countries.

The organisation represents every segment of glass and ceramic decoration including fine china, stoneware, tumblers, food and cosmetic containers, automotive and architectural glass, furniture, mirrors, tile and collectables. A recent survey showed the following categories of products decorated by SGCD member companies:

Current members include manufacturers, decorators, technical personnel, marketing professionals, designers and industry suppliers. All decorating technologies are represented including screen and pad printing, decal, labeling, precious metals, UV decorating, digital printing, etching and functional coatings.

The SGCD show attracts major suppliers to the decorating industry, including several firms from overseas. With a full seminar programme and first step programme that attracts attendees on their own merits, the overall event is expected to attract a large number of new attendees as well as regular attendees from the USA and around the world.
