Powerful Cutting Mill
Latest news from Retsch GmbH & Co KG (Haan, Germany) is that its heavy duty SM 2000 excels especially in the tough jobs where other cutting mills fail. This cutting mill is said to be able to grind a whole host of difficult materials, including preforms, as well as alternative fuels and leather.
To customise the mill for various applications, it comes in a modular design: the powerful 1.5kW motor is available in two speed versions. Different rotor designs, hoppers and collecting systems allow for adaptation to the sample characteristics and prevent undesired temperature increases in the ground product.
The housing can be opened from the front and from the top for easy cleaning. Safety switches and an electronic safety check ensure a high level of operator safety.
