PM Technology for the Chinese Market
Arburg GmbH & Co KG (Lossburg, Germany) has announced that it will be at PM Asia in the Hilton Hotel in Shanghai from 4-6 April to present its extensive range in the field of powder injection moulding (PIM). Arburg offers Allrounder machines with special equipment for processing powder materials as well as a comprehensive customer support from the choice of materials right up to after-sales service.
At PM Asia, the company's local subsidiary Arburg (Shanghai) Co Ltd will present Arburg's expertise in the PIM sector to its customers. In the course of the workshop 'Metal Injection Moulding' on 6 April, the company's PIM expert Hartmut Walcher will give a lecture on' Recent Developments in Powder Injection Moulding Machines and Mould Technology'.
The Arburg machine for processing powder materials differs from an Allrounder for plastics injection moulding due to its highly wear resistant cylinder module, the screw geometry - which is specially adapted to powder injection moulding - and the position regulated screw. This ensures a high level of precision and repeatability as the injection process can be speeded up and slowed down quickly.
Arburg offers individual support and consulting: from the choice of material, preparation of formulas and granulation, the selection of the machine, the moulding parameters and the mould design, up to the subsequent measures like debinding and sintering of the moulded parts. Special PIM training courses complete the comprehensive service in this market segment.
