Cerim Invests in New Press and Dryer

Start-up of a major ceramic tile press-dryer line at the Cerim (Florim Group) plant has just been completed. At Mordano, in the province of Bologna, Sacmi technicians have installed a latest generation PH 6200 press with a load width of 2450mm that is ideal for large tiles or smaller more commercial tiles at high output rates.

The PH 6200, linked to an EVA 984 dryer, is the sixth to be installed by the Florim Group, following those at the Spezzano plants and in the United States.

The vertical EVA 984 is said to have an outstanding output rate and features 27 racks and 11 levels with an effective width of 2300mm and a depth of 1350mm. Special thermal systems provide outstanding drying performance with large sizes, particularly with 60cm x 60cm tiles.
