9th International Ceramics Festival
The 9th International Ceramics Festival will take place at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre (Ceredigion, Wales) from 4-6 July 2003. Over 800 people attended the 2001 event and the organisers hope that a similar attendance will be achieved this year.Most people who attend the festival are professional makers, artists, teachers and amateur potters. What they all have in common is their interest in ceramics. Most attending this important event take the opportunity to purchase materials, tools, books etc and to see what is on offer by way of new equipment and ceramic courses. These trade displays have become over the years an integral part of the festival.
Aberystwyth Arts Centre has completed its £3.5 million extension and refurbishment and is able to locate the trade stand marquee near the installation area and kiln site and café on the grassed as in 2001.
