SGL Increases Carbon Fibre Prices
On 17 March 2005, the SGL Technologies business unit of SGL Carbon AG (Wiesbaden, Germany) announced price increases across its carbon fibre products range with immediate effect.
The double digit percentage increases vary from product to product and will affect the company's carbon fibres as well as fabrics, prepregs and other fibre-reinforced matrix products.
Jan Verdenhalven, Managing Director of SGL Technologies, commented: "These price increases are based on raw material cost increases as well as on continually tightening demand and supply situation in the carbon fiber markets".
