Ege Seramik to Boost Tile Output

Ege Seramik, the Turkish producer of floor tiles, sanitaryware and monoporosa products, is to raise its manufacturing capacity on several fronts.

A new tile and borders and skirting production line with an output capacity of 2,000 square metres per day is set to become operational in January 2005, as is a porcelain tile plant capable of producing up to 7,000 square metres per day of 33cm x 33cm tiles.

Meanwhile, extensive renewal of monoporosa production facilities is also planned, with the installation of six new Sacmi PH1500/PH2090 presses. Thanks to these new Sacmi-supplied production plants, the Ege Group will see its tile output potential boosted to 25 million square metres per year.
