Belgian Press Company Helps Bodycote to Upgrade

Phi Technologies BV (Temse, Belgium) has completed the revamping and modernisation of a large hot isostatic press for Bodycote H.I.P. Ltd (Chesterfield, Derbys, England). The Bodycote Group is providing a range of metallurgical processing services from more than 110 locations in 13 countries and is the largest group of its kind in the world.

The hot isostatic press (HIP), with a useful volume of 0.825 cubic metres, is designed for working at 1000oC and 60Mpa. The HIP is equipped with a fully automatic control, including different functions for easy and flexible management of the process.

Danny Roberts, Bodycote H.I.P.'s Director and Malcolm Godber, Works Manager, said: "We have found the Phi team professional in their approach and will tell Bodycote colleagues and other people that we are running an efficient and reliable Phi Technologies unit".

The Belgian company said that this successful project will strengthen its reputation. Encouraging also is Phi's present order book for both cold and hot isostatic press units, promising a good future.
