German/US controls company consolidates in UK
Barksdale Control Products, the German and US based manufacturer of pressure, level, flow and temperature sensors, has set up a new wholly owned operating division in the UK and has opened its first UK office, in Basingstoke.
To date, the company's products have been available in the UK only through distributors and, although these will still form an important route to market, Barksdale will also be targetting OEM accounts directly.
David Thomas, the new Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland, said: "Traditionally, Barksdale has been known for its mechanical flow, level, temperature and pressure sensors and, although we are continuing to manufacture and develop these products, we are also introducing a new generation of electronic instruments.
These are extremely advanced, offering end users considerable benefits in terms of functionality, performance and reliability, making them equally suitable for both high volume and specialised applications. We will therefore be working with our distributors and OEM customers to help them maximise the opportunities from this new technology".
