Ceramics for the Automotive Sector


The German Ceramic Society (DKG) has announced a two-day symposium which will address the theme of ceramics in car manufacturing. This will take place at the Mercedes Forum in Stuttgart from 6-7 May 2003.

Programme coordinators are Dipl-Ing Herbert Gasthuber of Daimler Chrysler AG and Prof Dr Juergen Heinrich of Clausthal Technical University (TU Clausthal).

Leading speakers scheduled for the programme will come from CeramTec AG, SGL Carbon, Hannover University, Daimler Chrysler, Robert Bosch, SGL Brakes, FhG-IWM Freiburg, Wacker Chemie, Osram, Karlsruhe University, Corning and Engelhard Technologies.

In addition to the oral presentations, at least 10 posters on important topics will also be presented at the event.

The symposium fees are 390 euro for DKG members and 450 euro for non-members.
