Confirmation of Change in the Ownership of Sanitec
As previously reported, Wartsila Corporation, Fiskars Corporation and a group of other major shareholders announced on 26 April 2001 their intention to sell their shares in one of the global leaders in sanitaryware manufacture, Sanitec Corporation. At the same time, Pool Acquisition Helsinki Oy stated that they would buy 60.8% of the share capital and votes in Sanitec.
The deals were subject to approvals from relevant competition authorities. It was announced on 12 June 2001 that these approvals had been received and that the change of ownership came into force on that day.
