Eurotherm Gains UKAS Accreditation for On-Site Calibration Service

Eurotherm Ltd (Worthing, West Sussex, England) has been awarded UKAS accreditation for its on-site calibration service. In addition to supporting Eurotherm manufactured products, the company will also calibrate and, if required, repair equipment manufactured by other suppliers on site. The UKAS accreditation is for electrical simulation, temperature loops, pressure loops and vacuum loops.

To comply with regulatory bodies, nearly all control and acquisition equipment requires routine calibration. Eurotherm has a country-wide team of calibration engineers that can provide this service for most process control equipment. The company says that this factory trained team is equipped with the latest calibration test equipment and is backed up by a team of service support engineers that are able to perform repairs, commissioning and process optimisation.

In addition to calibration, the company's calibration engineers have been trained to repair faulty products wherever possible and they carry spares, including complete instruments. If a repair to a faulty instrument cannot be effected on site, a calibrated loan instrument can be left running the process while the fault is investigated at Eurotherm's Worthing Service Centre.
