Refractory Mouldables & Pumpables
Thermal Ceramics has announced the development of a new range of fibre based mouldable and pumpable products under the name Kaofil(r). These materials are available in standard 1260?°C (1095°C recommended operating temperature) and 1425°C rated (1315°C operating temperature) grades. The products feature a smooth consistency and easy workability while also having excellent strength and low shrinkage properties.
The Thermal Ceramics Kaofil products are packaged in 1 US gallon and 5 US gallon pails, as well as 11.75oz and 40oz tube cartridges. The Kaofil Pumpable products can be installed with piston and diaphragm pumping equipment and they are said to be well suited for hot spot repair in utility boilers, HRSG units, blast furnace stoves and other industrial furnaces.
Kaofil Moldable standard and HT grades feature good tackiness and can be used in a wide variety of repair or joint filling applications in the ferrous, non-ferrous and commercial markets.
