Ceramic Protection Corp Announces Orders Worth Over US$1 Million

Ceramic Protection Corporation (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) has received two new orders for ballistic plates totalling around US$1.16 million for use by the US Department of Defense. Approximately US$360,000 of these orders can be attributed to Ceramic Protection Corporation's newly acquired subsidiary, Protective Products International (PPI), and consists of alumina side plate orders which meet US military requirements for personnel protection use in outer tactical vests.

The balance of the new orders is for CPC's new high density polyethylene plates. The demand for high pressure moulded polyethylene has increased dramatically as a result of the US military's increased performance requirements and CPC has responded accordingly.

Commenting on the announcement, CPC's President John Walsh said: "These new orders are an early successful indication of the rationale for our recent merger with PPI. The Corporation continues to implement plans for the vertical integration of the CPC management team and the range of products offered in Canada and the United States. With these developments, the Corporation continues to position itself to meet the growing and changing needs of military and law enforcement customers".
