Delcam’s PowerMILL Wins 'Best Software' Award

Delcam has announced that its PowerMILL CAM system for high-speed and five-axis machining was the outright winner in the 'Best Software' category, sponsored by Mori Seiki, at the Metalworking Production International Machine Tool Industry Awards that were held during the recent MACH exhibition.

The award was given for the latest release of PowerMILL, which offers new and improved functionality for roughing and finishing with both three-axis and five-axis machines. The enhancements include a wider range of five-axis strategies for both roughing and finishing, intelligent plunge milling, dedicated strategies for five-axis machining of engine ports, three-axis swarf machining and parametric surface finishing, together with faster calculation times and easier data management.

Following the award presentation, Peter Dickin of Delcam commented: "We are naturally delighted that our PowerMILL CAM system has been recognised with such a prestigious award. Delcam spends a high percentage of its income on product development and it is a real boost for our development team to see their efforts recognised in this way."
