Expansion at Pilkington's Tiles

Pilkington's Tiles Group PLC has officially opened a new Development Centre at its Manchester site (Clifton Junction). The Quiligotti Terrazzo Development Centre has been set up to accommodate the increased requirement for bespoke product development and will complement the new multi-million pound factory in Manchester.

Lesley-Ann Blamire, Group Design and Marketing Director, said: "The Pilkington's Tiles Group have invested in the Development Centre as part of their ongoing investment programme in improving the quality of product and service to our customers.

"This design and technical facility is dedicated to the generation of bespoke solutions for specifiers of terrazzo and harnesses the expertise of the technical development team in conjunction with the Group Design department. Experience in colour and trend forecasting, along with interior design skills, can be made available throughout every stage of a project. This will ensure that bespoke solutions are realised to aesthetic and technical specification."

The Development Centre was officially opened by Dr Mary-Lorraine Hughes, Chief Executive of Pilkington's Tiles Group and Donald Slade, Secretary of the National Federation of Terrazzo, Marble and Mosaic Specialists.
