Technical Ceramics to Play Their Part at Ceramitec
The organiser of Ceramitec 2003 - which takes place in Munich, Germany from 16-20 September 2003 - says that technical ceramics are enjoying the strongest growth of all segments in the ceramic industry. Messe Mnchen added that with a turnover of around €3 billion in Western Europe alone, essential components manufactured from ceramic materials are playing a key role in the success or failure of whole sections of industry.
The latest manufacturing techniques will be presented at Ceramitec while at the parallel event, MATERIALICA, the spotlight will be on products and development trends.
Ceramitec is generally regarded as the world's most important exhibition for the ceramic manufacturing industry and the biggest business and communications platform for the sector. On show this year will be all the latest machinery, equipment, systems, techniques and raw materials.
In percentage terms, the section covering fine ceramics and technical ceramics takes up most space at the exhibition, followed by sections covering raw materials, kilns and refractories, heavy clay products and powder metallurgy.
Messe M?nchen says that special features of Ceramitec are its high level of international participation and the very extensive range of products and services on display. The company now expects around 800 exhibitors from 40 countries to participate in this year's event, one which is held every three years. The proportion of exhibitors from outside Germany is currently running at around 60% which would make it easily the most international exhibition in its field.
MATERIALICA 2003 - the 6th International Trade Fair for Materials Applications, Surface Technology and Product Engineering - is a specialist event for product engineering, covering a wide range of materials and sectors. It is a marketplace for suppliers of high performance materials and process solutions and the product developers from the key high-tech industries.
Of particular interest for visitors to Ceramitec will be the 'Ceramics World' at MATERIALICA, at which high-tech solutions and products will be presented.
