Microban Grout Puts Bugs on Ice


Kemtile Ltd has secured an order for 2,800 square metres of Kagetec ceramic flooring system with the addition of its low viscosity epoxy grout with Microban(r) Antibacterial Protection at Loseley Dairy Ice Cream's new facility in Cwmbran, Wales.

The systems chosen are Kagetec BS and Kagetec GFK with 100mm x 100mm x 18mm hexagonal tiles which are specially designed to be laid by vibration technique. All six of the Kagetec Ceramic Flooring systems, engineered in Germany by Van Koetsveld & Grimberg GmbH, are available with Microban grout. Microban is a registered trademark of the Microban Products Company, Huntersville, NC, USA.

Kemtile has also announced that it has expanded into Ireland. Kemtile Ireland Ltd, headed up by Sales & Marketing Director Sean Kelly, will be based in Blarney, Co Cork, Eire and will offer Kagetec Tiling Systems as well as Ucrete polyurethane flooring systems and Steuler corrosion resistant membranes.
