New Brochure Spells Out Benefits Of KIBT Membership

KIBT – The Centre for Knowledge and Innovation in Building Technologies – has just published a new six-page full-colour brochure spelling out the many advantages that membership of the organisation can bring.

Established in February 2003 with £2m of joint government and industry funding, KIBT is an Egan-inspired initiative designed to provide the building industry with instant access to all the latest products, materials, building systems and regulatory requirements.

A key function of KIBT is to facilitate the formation of technology partnerships and knowledge-sharing ventures which can bring new products to market via the shortest route and timescale. A team of technical experts at the centre can provide practical help with every stage of the product development process, from initial concept development and testing, to final design, formal accreditation, manufacture and marketing.

Members can access a vast web-based library of building information and can also make use of purpose-built laboratories for full-scale testing of anything from a single component to a complete housebuilding system. A large selection of books and technical journals from all over the world are also kept in the KIBT’s extensive library.

Membership is open to everyone involved, or merely interested, in the building industry – from product manufacturers and suppliers; through architects, contractors and maintenance managers. A sliding fee scale ensures that this valuable resource is within reach of anyone who might benefit from membership.

To get a copy of the brochure or to find out more about KIBT, telephone 01782 764444 or visit www.kibt.com
