Keramin Continues on Expansion Trail

Keramin JSC (Minsk, Belarus) - leading sanitaryware and tile producer in the Russian Federation region - has once again chosen Sacmi (Imola, BO, Italy) to expand its operations. Sacmi has in fact been confirmed as both exclusive supplier of machines and key technological partner for the development of new models and the transfer of refire know-how.

In order to meet the needs of an ever more demanding market, Keramin has boosted production potential by installing a series of AVE040 multi-mould high pressure WC casting benches for multi-part moulds with and without plugs, and two-part ALS150 moulds for items such as washbasins and cisterns. Moreover, the installation of a high pressure single-mould AVM150 WC production bench ensures maximum flexibility while extending the output mix.

To complete the needs of Keramin, an SSK firing/refiring shuttle kiln with an effective load width of 4.23m and a volume of 60m3, plus another robot glazing island, have also been installed.

Currently operative Sacmi-made sanitaryware machines in Belarus include four AVE040 WC production units (4 moulds each) and four ALS150 units (10 moulds each) for the production of washbasins, stands and cisterns. There is also a continuous three-channel 60m dryer with rocker handling systems, an 89m STK 300 kiln with an SFD300 12.6m preheat section and an SSK400 kiln with an effective load height of 1.7m and a working volume of 60m3. Three robot glazing stations complete the line-up.
