Joint Venture, Continuous Ceramic Event
Ceramic Technology Transfer Day - or Ceramic TTD - has been launched as a collaboration between the Italian organisations ACIMAC and ISTEC as a continuous event and meeting point for innovation and technology transfer in the fields of ceramic materials, processes and equipment.
Ceramic TTD, through a dedicated website as well as informative meeting sessions, aims at offering everyone who has innovative technological proposals the chance to get in touch with the international operators of the ceramic sector. Via this route, the aim is to engender:
* business oriented partnerships.
* technological cooperation.
* development and further deepening of new technologies and their applications.
* partnerships oriented to research implementation and studies in progress.
Ceramic TTD is mainly addressed to the sector of ceramics used in industrial applications, buildings and paving, kerbing etc, but is also open to the advanced ceramic field.
Special attention is reserved to technologies, processes, innovations and equipment used in the ceramic production process.
Product innovation might be in:
Wall tiles, floor tiles, bricks, tableware and sanitaryware.
Raw materials, additives, synthetic powders, fibres etc.
Glazes, enamels and glass-ceramics.
Innovative ceramic materials such as advanced ceramics for use in structural, electrical and biomedical applications.
Process and equipment innovation might be in:
Equipment and machinery for the ceramic industry.
Innovative components and systems in order to better the performance of the process equipment.
Innovative systems devoted to quality and process checking.
Equipment and systems for environmental protection.
ACIMAC is the Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for Ceramics. ISTEC is The Institute of Science & Technology for Ceramics, the only part of Italy's National Research Council with a long-term activity programme covering the whole range of ceramics.
