Heinrich Installs New Automated Screen Printer

Heinrich Ceramic Decal Inc (Worcester, MA, USA) has recently completed the installation of a new automated screen coating machine. This precision unit has the capabilities to both scoop coat screens with liquid emulsion and also to apply capillary film emulsions.

The coater brings a higher level of consistency to the important task of screenmaking. Heinrich reported that it was continuing to make capital investments in quality production equipment to meet the needs of its customers.

This followed the February announcement that the company had installed a new Harlequin Torrent RIP in its Prepress Department. The new RIP has increased speed, inline trapping, stochastic dot generation capability and the ability to RIP files for multiple output devices.

This new technology was the first step in Heinrich's transition towards a digital screenmaking workflow. Heinrich said at the time that later in the year it planned to install a digital Computer-to-Screen system to enhance the quality and speed of its Screenmaking Department.
