G-P Opens New Industrial Gypsum Plant on USA's West Coast

USA West Coast plaster markets now have a closer source for white, high purity G-P Gypsum industrial plaster products following the opening of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"The new plant produces a full line of industrial plaster products," said Brian Roemer, National Sales Manager. "The Las Vegas site strategically positions G-P to better meet the needs of our customers with value-added industrial gypsum products.

"After being a leader in the industrial plaster industry for the last decade, G-P Gypsum continues to add both products and resources to the business to meet customer needs. The new plant furthers our engagement in this market."

The new plant - which opened at the end of March 2002 - will serve the North American market, particularly the West Coast. Production will include alpha and beta gypsum, industrial fillers and also agricultural gypsum.

G-P Gypsum is a leading supplier of industrial gypsum. It blends a full range of standard-mix plaster products for many industries and also offers customers blends to meet specific performance requirements. Plasters are available in a variety of packaging options, including bulk bags and special packaging to accommodate specific user requirements.

G-P Gypsum is a wholly owned subsidiary of Georgia-Pacific Corporation.
