Germany Will Stage 10th World Filtration Congress

The 10th World Filtration Congress (WFC10) will be held from 13-19 April 2008 in Leipzig, Germany. The VDI-GVC German Society for Chemical & Process Engineering has been unanimously chosen to host the foremost event for filtration by the members of the INDEFI Committee (International Delegates on Filtration). Past WFCs have been held in the USA, UK, France, Belgium, Japan and Hungary.

The German VDI-GVC delegates Dr-Ing Harald Anlauf (Karlsruhe) and Prof Dr-Ing Eberhard Schmidt (Wuppertal) will take over the chairmanship of INDEFI for the next four years. They are also part of the Management Committee of WFC10 which will be organised in conjunction with Filtech Germany.

"We are proud that Germany has been selected to host the 10th World Filtration Congress," said Dr Harald Anlauf. "The venue Leipzig is a modern Convention City with 800 years of tradition, superb meeting facilities and infrastructure situated in the heart of Europe. It is a top venue for the event in the field of filtration and separation. We are looking forward to welcoming filtration experts from all over the world."
