New FESPA Exhibition Director to Shape 2005 Event

The European organisation for the screen printing industry, FESPA, has appointed Frazer Chesterman to the role of Exhibition Director to spearhead the development of its new internal exhibitions department and to oversee all aspects of the FESPA 2005 exhibition, which will take place in Munich, Germany from 31 May to 4 June 2005.

Frazer brings over 12 years of valuable commercial experience in the exhibitions, conference and publishing sectors to this newly created position. Most recently, he was a board level director of Brintex Exhibition, an international organisation with revenues in excess of 13 million, employing 30 staff in the UK, France, Spain and Holland.

FESPA's General Secretary, Nigel Steffens, said on announcement of the appointment: "Following the success of FESPA 2002, which attracted 28,000 decision-makers from over 111 countries, we're determined to make the 2005 event in Munich the biggest and best FESPA exhibition ever. To do that, we're absolutely committed to making FESPA 2005 a first-class exhibition environment for exhibitors and visitors.

"Having taken the decision to establish an in-house department to organise the FESPA 2005 event, our first priority had to be to find an Exhibition Director of the right calibre to create and motivate a professional and results-driven in-house team."

Frazer Chesterman said: "I'm very much looking forward to the challenge of this new role, and to building mutually rewarding relationships with the key players in the screen, digital and industrial printing sectors. In my first year with FESPA I expect to have many fruitful discussions which will help me and my team develop a full understanding of what this dynamic industry is looking for from the next FESPA event".
