Degussa-Hüls AG will increase prices for precipitated Silicas and Silicates by 5%.
Degussa-Hüls is one of the world's leading suppliers of precipitated Silicas. Silicas are an important component for reduction of rolling resistance in 'green tires', as are rubber silanes and rubber blacks. Degussa-Hüls is the sole producer to offer these three reinforcing components worldwide and is thus the international leader in rubber reinforcement. The group is also global market leader in precipitated silicas (five plants) and rubber silanes (five sites) for the rubber industry, and the second largest producer of rubber and pigment carbon blacks (fourteen plants) with related applied technology support centres in Europe, America and Asia.
