CCI Offers Refractories Correspondence Course

The Ceramic Correspondence Institute (CCI) - a joint effort between the American Ceramic Society (ACerS) and World CyberUniversity, has announced the availability of a new correspondence course, 'Refractories Technology'. This course is designed to provide comprehensive coverage and training in refractory technology and its applications in a variety of industries. The course consists of three sections: Refractory materials, compositions and forms; Refractory engineering and installation technology; and Refractory applications in industry.

Founded in 1972, CCI provides companies and individuals in the ceramic industry with the continuing education needed to remain competitive in today's market. CCI courses were developed to provide continuing education to primarily non-ceramic engineers working in the ceramics field that have little or no ceramic training. Students that have benefitted from CCI include supervisors, technicians, process control personnel, sales and marketing personnel and others. Since its inception, more than 2,300 students from 50 countries have enrolled in the CCI programme.

The new course makes a total of nine courses in the CCI line-up. All courses have been completely updated.
